my portraits of Bruno Schulz

Throughout the years I worked on Schulz' literature I wanted to face him; I drew and painted his face following the lines in his self-portraits, watching photograph's of him and finally, at the end of the second series of etchings of my journey through his world, I just drew him on the plate. The eleven pictures below, show the process.
